In this role, you will collaborate with our Municipal clients to develop, design, permit and provide construction services on a variety of projects across the New York Regions directed at providing flood resilience to our communities and the improvement of surface water quality. Who are we looking for:Woodard & Curran seeks a detail-oriented stormwater engineer to support a diverse variety of stormwater and flood resiliency projects. Based in our Rye Brook office, you will work with teams on projects primarily spanning across five geographies in New York and the northeast, but with the opportunity to engage on exciting projects around the country. The successful candidate will work with client and project managers, technical specialists, and other engineers, supporting our clients on a wide range in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing urban stormwater solutions, including flood risk mitigation, stormwater conveyance, stormwater quality, and programmatic funding, among other areas. Offering Flexible Remote/Hybrid Work Schedule:Expectation is 1 to 2 days in the office or onsite with clients.Travel up to 20%:Clients within the New York.Projects may include:Stormwater Master Planning.Urban flood resiliency projects.Stormwater quality treatment projects.Multi-benefit projects.Civil/Site projects.What you will be doing at Woodard & CurranTechnical writing and communications with clients and regulatory authorities.Site design, site grading, erosion & sediment control, and stormwater management design.Working with designers to develop design plans.Preparing local, state, and federal permit application packages.Preparing specifications.Construction administration.Mentoring and delegating to staff-level engineers.Delegating and managing project tasks to staff while overseeing total project delivery.Enforcing and applying quality assurance and quality control processes.What you will need to succeed4 – 8 years of experience in the design of flood resiliency and stormwater related projects.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related technical field.Registered Professional Engineer in New York (or ability to apply for reciprocity).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.Knowledge of relevant local, state and federal regulations and standards.$105,000 - $130,000 a yearGroup A (Portland - Bangor, ME) = $85,000 - $100,000Group B (Northampton ,MA - Cherryhill, NJ - Provident, RI - Middletown, CT ) = $95,000 - $115,000Group C (East Windsor, NJ - Andover, MA - Canton, MA - Rye brook, NY) = $105,000 - $130,000This position’s anticipated pay range is provided; the final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will depend on experience level and consider a percentage-based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working.
