Winston Manor - Dietary Aide Winston Manor – Chicago, IL Winston Manor is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. Dietary Aides play an important role in supporting daily meal service and ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean and comfortable dining environment. What We Offer Next Day Pay available Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Supportive and team-oriented work environment Training and professional development opportunities Opportunities to grow within the organization Responsibilities Assist with preparing food items and assembling meals according to menus and dietary instructions Prepare dining areas and distribute meals to residents as needed Serve meals in accordance with established schedules, portion sizes, and dietary requirements Assist residents with meal service while maintaining their dignity and independence Ensure special diets, food allergies, and other dietary needs are followed as directed Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food preparation equipment Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, dining areas, and food service equipment Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines Replenish food and dining supplies as needed Assist with setting up and cleaning dining areas before and after meals Report food shortages, equipment concerns, and resident meal-related issues to the appropriate supervisor Work collaboratively with cooks, dietary staff, nursing staff, and other team members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and dining environment Perform additional dietary duties as assigned Qualifications Previous food service, dietary, or kitchen experience preferred Experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting is a plus Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices preferred Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions, menus, and special dietary requirements Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and respectful approach when interacting with residents Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting within job requirements Food handler certification, as applicable Must meet applicable health and background requirements Schedule Schedule based on facility needs Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available Weekend and holiday availability may be required Work Setting Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) | Long-Term Care | Dietary Services Winston Manor is committed to providing quality meals and a safe, welcoming dining environment for our residents.
