Surgical Technologist

Position Overview The Surgical Technologist at Surgery Center of Chevy Chase scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as part of the surgical team. The role maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures, and supports the surgery center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals. This position is weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, nights or call assignments. Responsibilities Scrub for surgical procedures and maintain sterile field. Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures. Support the surgical team and participate in quality improvement activities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; completion of a surgical technician program or equivalent education and experience. Certification required by state and/or center. Preferably prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management. Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation. Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient condition. Excellent teamwork and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage patients, and coordinate with physicians.
