This role is key to ensuring the safety and compliance of fire suppression systems in diverse environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers and suppression systems for clients.
- Diagnose system issues, identify deficiencies, and maintain code compliance awareness.
- Inform clients on code compliance and manufacturers' standards.
- Ensure all work aligns with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards 17, 17A, and 96.
- Assist clients with quotes, equipment layout recommendations, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Allocate 25% of work time to Fire Extinguisher Technician duties.
- Experience: 2+ years in suppression system inspection preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses & Certifications: E4 Wet/Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems and ICC (FK), both required within 90 days of hire.
- Skills: Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple iOS, and Android).
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Frequent handling of tools, equipment, and cabling.
- Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
