Job Title: Operational Buyer

Department: Procurement

Location: Wilmer, TX

About the Role

The Operational Buyer position is responsible for purchasing materials (direct or indirect)

and/or services for Trina PV module manufacturing plant. As a buyer, your day to day job includes RFQ, order management, supplier performance evaluation. You will also be providing regular updates to the stakeholders about the order status. Working with the strategic procurement team to optimizing supply chain to improve cost, efficiency and quality. This position is based in Trina module plant at Wilmer, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

• Onboarding new suppliers to Trina AVL.
• Purchasing material and service to fulfill factory demand.
• Executing PO in Trina order management system (ERP, Oracle).
• Communicating with vendors regarding delivery schedule, quality issues.
• Working with HQ procurement team and logistics team to support custom clearance for oversea deliveries.
• Conducting supplier risk assessment. Initiating risk mitigation plans as necessary.
• Monitoring delivery schedule, providing update to stakeholder.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationship.
• Initiating and participating cost reduction, continuous improvement programs.
• Timely resolving non-conformance issues.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other equivalent procurement related.
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain. Solar module or solar components OEM experience is preferred.
• Familiar with procurement process at manufacturing plant.
• Strong communication skills. Comfortable with communicating with colleagues from different cultures. Bilingual (mandarin and English) is required.
• Willing to travel up to 20%, some international travel is required.
• Self-starter with strong teamwork skills. Ability to form and work with cross-functional team.
• Good Microsoft office skills and presentation skills.
