Dental Assistant - EDDA

Our expert team, led by Dr. Claudia Cavallino, Dr. Paige Gaudet, and Dr. Nicole Boxberger, works collaboratively to ensure that every young patient achieves and maintains a beautiful, healthy smile that will last a lifetime.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, high-energy Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced office. As a Dental Assistant at Bayou Children's Dental Centers, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission of providing personal, individualized, quality-focused care to our patients and their families.

You will be responsible for the following:

- Assist the dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.

- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.

- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).

- Record patient medical history and dental treatment.

- Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.

- Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control programs.

- Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment.

- Perform various office tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

You will be required to possess the following:

- An Expanded Dental Duty Assistant (EDDA) certificate is required.

- Knowledge of Dentrix is beneficial.

- Pediatric experience is highly desirable.

- Must be friendly, enjoy working with children, and have a high energy level.
