Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in parts management or a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and operations management. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in business or a related field. Experience with automotive aftermarket parts and service department operations. Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems. Experience with Ford Parts preferred. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory management and parts counter activities. Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely ordering and receiving of automotive parts and accessories. Train, supervise, and evaluate parts counter staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to improve parts sales and profitability while managing costs effectively. Collaborate with the service department to ensure that all necessary parts are available for repairs and maintenance. Skills: The required skills in parts counter operations and inventory management are essential for maintaining an organized and efficient parts department. Daily tasks will involve using these skills to track inventory levels, process orders, and ensure that the service team has access to the necessary parts. Operations management skills will be applied to streamline processes and improve overall department performance. Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket and spare parts will enable the Parts Manager to make informed purchasing decisions and enhance customer satisfaction. Additionally, strong communication and leadership skills will be vital in training staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.
