As a Transporter, you will perform those duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. Provides general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. Reports to the shift supervisor. Tasks and responsibilities include: Transporting patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested. Assisting clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers. Greeting and offering assistance to customers throughout the hospital. Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Orienting and mentoring new staff members.

Qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous Transporter experience preferred.
