Front Desk Receptionist — Pampered Paws Salon

Pampered Paws Salon is looking for a friendly, dependable Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and help keep the salon running smoothly. This person will manage appointments, assist clients, handle payments, and support the grooming team with daily tasks. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, stay organized during busy periods, and make people and pets feel welcome.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and check pets in and out for appointments.
• Answer phone calls and messages, respond to questions, and direct inquiries as needed.
• Schedule and manage appointments while keeping client and pet records accurate.
• Explain salon services, appointment expectations, and policies clearly.
• Process cash and other payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Communicate with groomers about arrivals, pickups, schedule changes, and client requests.
• Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Handle routine administrative tasks, including data entry, recordkeeping, and correspondence.
• Help with laundry, cleaning, restocking, and other tasks as needed to support the salon team.

Preferred qualifications

• At least one year of customer service or reception experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask, manage time well, and stay calm when the salon is busy.
• Comfort using a computer, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail when handling appointments, records, and payments.
• Comfort working around dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed.

Pet care or grooming salon experience is a plus. Above all, we’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, cares about animals, and takes pride in being a reliable part of the team.
