Job Description

Schedule Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Maximum of 96 hours prescheduled in a 6-week period
• Shifts are 12 hours in length
• Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (Friday 1500 – Monday 0730)
• Must work at least 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
  • Summer: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day
  • Winter: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year’s Day
• Will also work one of the following shifts: Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, or the Day after Christmas

As a Nurse Assistant, you¿ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and care of our patients. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you¿ll perform specific patient care duties, provide valuable input for care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your contributions directly support our nursing team and enhance the patient experience.

What You Will Do

• Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

• CNA certification preferred.
