In return, we want you to be hands-on, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities may include:Material Handling & Forklift Operation:Operate the forklift to efficiently move pallets, containers, and materials throughout the plant facility.Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.Conduct inspection of the forklift prior to operating, promptly reporting issues to maintenance team for resolution.Loading and Unloading:Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers with pallets or materials using the forklift, ensuring proper placement and securement of items.Lift and carry up to 65lbsPush items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feetSafety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work areaWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment dailyReport any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.Job DetailsAre you ready to be part of a team that values safety, continuous improvement, quality, and employee well-being? CHEP Pallecon is looking for a motivated Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team in Bolingbrook, IL!As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a role that places a strong emphasis on safety. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to retrieve containers or materials from various departments within the plant. Your role involves making decisions to optimize material movement and contribute to the overall efficiency of the plant operations. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance tasks on the forklift.
