2026 Fall Materials Engineering Co-op (TCAD Modeling) - Doctorate (Gloucester, MA)

Responsibilities Collaborate with implant material processing groups and process demonstrations, processing wafers, measuring wafers, modeling and simulating processes, analyzing results, and documenting. Participate in development projects involving wafer processing, desired metrology, and present updates in group meetings. Support process engineering through procurement, shipping samples, and tracking inventory functions. Start date: Summer 2026. Must be available to work 6‑9 months on site at our Gloucester, MA location. Requirements Preference for students currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related semiconductor field. Student must be in good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. Hands‑on expertise in thin film material characterization techniques such as ellipsometry, electrical IV/CV measurements, FTIR, microscopy, and mechanical properties testing. Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as FEM, Monte Carlo simulations, etc., and knowledge of modeling automation techniques is a big plus. TCAD highly preferred.
