About the Position

Facility is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Oncology CMC Pharmacist to join Oncology Unit in Ithaca, NY.

This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for a licensed pharmacist with specialized knowledge in oncology medications and CMC (Chemotherapy Medication Compounding) standards.

• Prepare and compound oncology medications following USP <797> and <800> standards.

• Review and verify chemotherapy orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and drug interactions, providing consultation as needed.

• Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurses, and the broader care team to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.

• Oversee inventory control and proper storage of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.

Requirements

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.

Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License.

Minimum 2 years of oncology pharmacy experience required.

BLS required; BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) preferred.

Knowledge of sterile compounding, chemotherapy protocols, and EMR systems.
