Recreational Therapist (Full-Time)

In this position you will:

• Teach both adults and adolescents how to use leisure as a method to communicate and cope with stressors
• Work with an experienced team of professionals
• Have career development opportunities across UHS and its 300+ locations

Your goals and objectives include:

• Providing daily Recreational Therapy group therapy
• Completing Recreational Therapy assessments
• Working with patients who have experienced past or current trauma, symptoms of anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation
• Responsible for assessing patients' leisure and recreational activities
• Provide age and developmentally appropriate Recreational Therapy groups
• Establish Recreational Therapy treatment goals

Your qualifications and requirements will include:

• Current CTRS certification, registration or licensure in accordance with state and/or national board standards of specific field or allied health
• Previous experience working with mental health patients preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check and drug screen
