Physician Faculty - MR linac

Position Overview The Department of Radiation Oncology at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine (NYUGSOM) is conducting a national search for a talented physician specializing in MR Linac‑based Radiation Oncology to lead the nation's fastest growing Unity MRL program. This leader will work closely with the Vice Chair to establish the vision for and guide the development of the MRL program, and oversee all operations and functions in the MRL department. Responsibilities The MRL program director will be charged with leading a nationally recognized MRL program and contributing to the development of the program to expand and grow it to multiple disease sites. The position works closely with multidisciplinary specialists in the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC) and across the NYU Langone Health system. Qualifications Candidates that specialize in prostate cancer or other diverse disease sites are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be board‑eligible/certified and should have completed a four‑year residency approved by the ACGME/AOA. About the Department of Radiation Oncology NYU Department of Radiation Oncology is an integral part of the PCC and provides state‑of‑the‑art care to its patients using the latest technologies. Care is provided at three locations in Manhattan, a newly built center in Brooklyn, and at the NYU Long Island campus. The department serves over 4,000 new patients annually, consists of 26 clinical faculty and 16 Ph.D. physicists, and has an ACGME‑accredited four‑year residency program in radiation oncology and a CAMPEP‑accredited two‑year residency in medical physics. Facilities and Technology NYU Langone Health’s Department of Radiation Oncology has state‑of‑the‑art facilities that incorporate the most advanced radiotherapy and imaging technologies such as stereotactic radiosurgery, magnetic resonance imaging guided linear accelerator (MRL), Edge, TrueBeam, brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), Ethos with Hypersight, Exactrac and other advanced technologies.
