That means we look out for one another, take pride in what we build, and take responsibility for our actions, our results, and the long-term health of the company.Guided by our core values of People, Team, Our Bond, Persistence, and Vision, we do what we say we will do, push through challenges and deliver work we're proud of.When you join Ames, you're joining a company built for long-term success — where skilled people, strong teams, and disciplined execution come together to build careers and a better future.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstill safety as a top priorityProvides on-site supervision and direction to crew membersFamiliar with project specifications and ability to understand plansEstablish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnelEnsure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weeklyFill out daily foreman reportsAnalyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedlyAbility to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)Manage all excavating activities for your crewOther duties may be assigned.Experience, Education & SkillsMinimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil constructionWillingness to travelKnowledge of OSHA standards and practicesMust be familiar with heavy equipmentAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsMust have a valid Driver's LicenseAbility to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power toolsFrequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbsPositive attitude and possess excellent motivational skillsTime management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucialGood attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepanciesAmes Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
