Job Type Full-time Salary From $20.57 per hour, shift premium available Schedule 10-hour shift, 4 days per week Overtime as needed Shifts B Shift: 2p - 12a Monday – Thursday; 3p - 1a Monday – Thursday; 4p - 2a Monday – Thursday C Shift: 10p - 8a Monday – Thursday; or starts Sunday night, ends Thursday morning Position Description Light manufacturing. All FT Assemblers also operate presses. Performs one or more of a series of manual and machine processes involved in the production of fuse holders and terminal blocks and related products which make up the company’s product line. Equipment and Tools Hand tools including wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hand taps, etc.; power hand tools such as pneumatic screwdrivers and wrenches, spray guns, production machines such as automatic screwdrivers, drill presses, saws, and buffing wheels. Responsibilities Perform hand operations such as sorting, setting up hardware and moldings, and loading parts in machines. Operate one or a group of machines performing operations such as screwdriving, riveting, staking, etc. and periodically check production for obvious defects. Perform marking, printing and painting operations including set up of printing and painting equipment. Produce assemblies using hand tools, pneumatic hand tools, and related fixtures. Keep simple records such as production, scrap, etc. Pack finished assemblies into cartons for storage or shipment. Visibly check parts for defects prior to packing and insert operator number in containers. Perform limited housekeeping to maintain workstation in neat, orderly condition. Report malfunctions, breakdowns, and other delays immediately to the set-up person. Advise the material handler of material needs. Perform other similar tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Physical Demands Operate more than one machine at a time requiring continuous activity from a standing and/or seated position. Job assignment may require standing for full duration of work shift. Continuous mental and/or visual attention is required, must be alert for any process change that would affect the quality of the parts. Pack finished products in boxes and lift components/parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
