Job Title: General Laborer Job Description

This contract General Laborer role supports day-to-day operations in a production and warehouse environment by performing labor-intensive cleaning, labeling, and maintenance tasks. You will spend most of your shift on your feet, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and organized plant while assisting with basic production support activities.

• Stand and work on your feet for approximately 8 hours per day in a fast-paced warehouse and plant environment.
• Label products accurately with product names and required hazard labels, following provided guidelines.
• Perform daily janitorial duties throughout the plant and warehouse, maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
• Scrape glue and other debris from floors and surfaces to keep work areas safe and clear.
• Pick up trash throughout the warehouse and production areas and dispose of it properly.
• Sweep floors and maintain general cleanliness across the plant and surrounding work areas.
• Support general labor and production tasks as needed, including basic packaging and handling of materials.
• Assist with painting tasks within the plant when requested, following safety and cleanliness standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions while performing physical and cleaning tasks.

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours per day.
• Comfort performing labor-intensive tasks in a production and warehouse setting.
• Ability to clean floors, including sweeping and scraping debris such as glue.
• Willingness to perform janitorial duties on a daily basis and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Comfort working in environments where you may get dirty while performing cleaning and labor tasks.
• Basic experience or familiarity with general labor, production, packaging, or warehouse work.
• Reliable work history and consistent attendance.

• Previous labeling experience in a production or warehouse environment is a plus.
• Prior warehousing experience, including handling and organizing products, is preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial work experience is beneficial.
• Experience in general production or general labor roles is an advantage.

This role is based in a production plant and warehouse environment on 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. You will spend most of your time on your feet, moving throughout the facility to perform cleaning, labeling, and general labor tasks. The work involves exposure to typical warehouse and plant conditions, including noise, dust, and materials that require hazard labeling. The position is labor intensive and can be physically demanding, with regular bending, walking, and handling of cleaning tools and materials. You should expect to wear appropriate work attire suitable for getting dirty and for performing janitorial and general labor duties safely and comfortably.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
