Day Shift 7:30am-5pm The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. Lead CT technologists are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with director/manager, physician, staff or patient issues. Responsibilities Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflecting the patient\'s age-specific needs. Assess patients\' and families\' ability to learn and incorporate teaching throughout the CT procedure. Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients. Assure adequate staffing according to volume, flexing when necessary. Coordinate daily technologist assignments. Assure that all exams are completed and put in take status. Operate all department equipment safely and properly. Teach and mentor radiology students. Implement proper exposure techniques and positioning. Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects and contraindications for administration. Help manage supplies in a cost-effective manner. Qualifications Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology Program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ARRT-CT registered. A minimum of 3 years of CT experience. If chosen to be cross trained from another modality, must be registered within 6 months from registry eligibility.
