Case Manager - Magnolia Safe Parking

Dreams for Change is seeking a dedicated and qualified Case Manager to support our County‑funded Safe Parking Program in El Cajon. The Case Manager is responsible for providing advocacy, information and referrals in support of housing readiness for participants within the Safe Parking Program. The Case Manager will work in close collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Homeless Solutions to help participants access critical services and transition to stable housing. This position is full‑time (40 hours) from 1:00 pm–9:30 pm five evenings a week. The schedule includes evenings and weekends. Email Resume and cover letter to View email address on click.appcast.io Responsibilities Set up and break down program operations Conduct intake and assessments for new participants Develop service plan with a focus on financial stability and re‑housing Assist in following individualized housing plan with path to permanent housing Support individuals to build skills and knowledge to secure appropriate housing Collaborate with housing navigator and support relationships with housing providers Assist participants in building skills to maintain housing once it's secured Provide individualized resources and referrals to community programs Assist clients in advocating for services for which they are eligible Develop partnerships with other community‑based organizations Outcomes and data management into HMIS for participants activities and accomplishments Follow‑up with participants who have exited the program Assist in oversight of interns during program operations Other duties as assigned Knowledge The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Federal, state and county public assistance programs Community resources Homeless services Housing resources Skills The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills: Social work principles and practices Analytical and problem‑solving skills Decision making, stress management and time management skills Effective verbal and listening communications skills Effective negotiation and mediation skills Effective written communications skills Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets, word‑processing, and databases at a highly proficient level Lead Cook Hourly Pay: $18.50 Dreams for Change (DFC) is seeking qualified candidates for a lead cook position. The lead cook works within the Dreams For Change Workforce program. The Lead Cook will be supporting the food truck with cooking/preparing 300+ meals a day. The Lead Cook will also be responsible for training and supervising up to 5‑6 participants/trainees from the workforce program. Meal service is generally dinner service 7 days a week and lunch service 4‑5 days a week with occasional events. This is a part‑time position at 20 hours per week.
