Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Lithonia, GA. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating the fluoroscopic equipment and assisting the physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures. You will also prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patient during all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to assure adequate safeguards. Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to IR procedures to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Must have 1 year of acute‑care experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification. State‑specific licensing is required when applicable. A vascular interventional certificate is preferred. IR Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
