Long-term locums Orthopedic Surgery coverage in Michigan with a mix of inpatient and outpatient work, including general orthopedics and Level 2 trauma call. Highlights Long-term assignment due to staffing shortage Mix of inpatient and outpatient services, full-scope orthopedics Level 2 trauma center call, includes consults, rounding, and emergent cases Will consider waiting for licensure with an active IMLC LOQ Practice Setting Medical setting includes both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care General orthopedics coverage with Level 2 trauma center responsibilities Clinic support includes APPs, availability varies with current volumes, no supervision required Schedule Full-time coverage need, inclusive of inpatient and outpatient services Call requirement is 10 to 11 days per month Call shifts run 7am to 7am Cases and Procedures Full-scope outpatient orthopedics, including elective surgery ED and ER coverage and follow-ups from call MSK trauma cases and emergent surgeries, trauma background preferred Requirements Must be an MD or DO Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery Michigan license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only BLS required If you can cover full-time plus 10 to 11 call days per month in a Level 2 trauma setting, reach out and we can compare your availability with the coverage need.
