Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend day shift position requiring ARRT registration (or registry eligibility) and advanced CT certification.

Details

• CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Procedures include CT scans with image manipulation, multi-planar reconstruction, 3D reconstruction, oral and IV contrast administration, and IV line establishment
• Uses PACS, QC station, IMPAX service tools, and Epic EMR
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekends required
• No on-call required
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• ARRT registration required, or registry eligibility — registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program; registration must be obtained within one year of employment
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Current BLS (HCP) certification required
• Experience with image manipulation, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, CT algorithms, window and level settings, contrast administration, PACS, Epic, and IMPAX service tools
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing CT scans per protocol, administering oral and IV contrast, establishing IV lines, verifying contrast eligibility, checking lab values prior to contrast injection, and transmitting images via PACS and Epic
• Additional duties include managing and reconciling orders, ensuring charge and demographic accuracy, maintaining a clean work environment, and documenting incidents
• Precepting of new employees and students is expected
• Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared to report for drug screening promptly upon commitment
