Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) | Minimum of 2 holidays within the contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with an average daily census of 16, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3 for adult patients
• Manage and titrate a variety of drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation agents
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory distress, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker placement, vascular cases, and heart failure
• Read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
• Float to PCU or occasionally MedSurg as needed, maintaining unit-appropriate patient ratios (1:4 or 1:5)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU nursing experience with exposure to high-acuity and complex patient populations
• Experience titrating cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips in a critical care setting
• Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems and tele strip interpretation
