Warehouse Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of all Plant Material Control job functions and applicable department equipment and system (ie. Forklift, Cambar, HK Systems, TTMS, AMAPS, MITS, AES). They will handle receiving, loading, unloading, cleaning, creating bills of lading (BOLs), case‑picking and performing full functionality in the Shipping Office while maintaining compliance to all GMP, Safety and Quality guidelines. Must meet all safety and housekeeping requirements. Responsibilities Loading, unloading, case picking, barcoding, palletizer operations: Performs all tasks safely, ensures accurate documentation, follows procedures/guidelines, ensures trailers are loaded to meet weight requirements, completes tasks efficiently. Receiving Operations: Creates accurate and legible documentation, performs data entry, maintains applicable databases, processes inbound pallets through proper process into the ASRS system. Shipping/Receiving office functions: Releases orders timely, ensures documentation accuracy, addresses persons professionally, maintains databases, signs BOLs with drivers and clerks, communicates safety and GMP concerns, adheres to safety guidelines, makes operational decisions, lifts and maneuvers objects up to 50 lbs, complies with FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott regulatory policies. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills, multitasking ability and strong teamwork. Forklift experience. Preferred Qualifications 6+ months prior job experience within Plant Material Control or Columbus Distribution Center. Forklift certification. Experience with related tools and equipment (hand tools, full body harness, sit‑down forklift, stand‑up pick vehicle, computer skills).
