Regional EHS Manager

The Regional EHS Manager leads the implementation and continuous improvement of Operations Safety programs across assigned U.S. markets. Reporting to the Senior Regional EHS Manager, this role serves as the primary EHS partner to regional and site Operations leadership and provides risk-based support for high-risk activities, contractor work, incident investigations, EHS assessments, training, customer requirements, and corrective-action management.Job SummaryThe Regional EHS Manager leads the implementation and continuous improvement of Operations Safety programs across assigned U.S. markets. Reporting to the Senior Regional EHS Manager, this role serves as the primary EHS partner to regional and site Operations leadership and provides risk-based support for high-risk activities, contractor work, incident investigations, EHS assessments, training, customer requirements, and corrective-action management.In addition to regional responsibilities, the Regional EHS Manager owns an assigned subject-matter-expert area and leads associated programs, projects, training, metrics, and portfolio-wide improvements. The role uses field engagement, data analysis, and practical operational knowledge to translate regulatory and company requirements into effective, sustainable controls.The Regional EHS Manager collaborates with Security, Environmental Compliance, Operations Training, Engineering, Procurement, Risk, Legal, and other business partners on emergency response, incident investigations, customer support, contractor management, and shared operational risks. Acting as both a hands-on practitioner and strategic advisor, the role drives measurable improvements in safety performance, operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and safety culture.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary EHS business partner for assigned markets and build strong relationships with regional and site Operations leaders, customer-facing teams, and facility personnel.Maintain a regional engagement plan that includes site visits, field walkthroughs, leadership and customer touchpoints, and follow-up on identified priorities.Provide practical, risk-based guidance, coach site teams on safe execution, and support other regions during vacancies, significant incidents, or high-risk work.Partner with Operations to implement controls for electrical safety, QEW work, LOTO, fall protection, roof access, confined space, PIT/MEWPs, hot work, and contractor activities.Review higher-risk MOPs, HRAs, JSAs, and related work plans; participate in CAB or operational planning meetings when EHS risk warrants.Manage the EHS event lifecycle, including response, classification, evidence collection, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, lessons learned, customer documentation, and closure.Conduct EHS assessments, observations, and focused reviews, and verify that resulting corrective actions are completed effectively.Maintain accurate EHS records, perform data-quality reviews, analyze leading and lagging indicators, and prepare dashboards and leadership reports.Monitor applicable regulations, standards, and industry practices and translate relevant changes into practical operating requirements.Support customer EHS requirements, including MBR/QBR participation, incident notifications, joint safety walks, corrective-action updates, and tracking of commitments.Coordinate with Security, Environmental Compliance, Engineering, Operations Training, Procurement, Risk, Legal, and other partners to resolve shared risks and support emergency response, incident command, after-hours escalation, lone-worker controls, fire/life-safety events, and business continuity.Own an assigned EHS subject-matter-expert area and provide portfolio-wide technical guidance, program support, training, metrics, and continuous improvement.Manage regional and portfolio-wide projects, including objectives, milestones, owners, dependencies, status reporting, and annual resource planning for travel, PPE, Industrial Hygiene, equipment, and consultant support.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Mechanical Systems, or a related field preferred.Minimum of five years of EHS experience in critical, industrial, manufacturing, utility, or similarly complex operating environments; data center experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience managing multiple EHS programs, projects, deadlines, and stakeholders across a geographically dispersed portfolio.Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1904 and 1910, NFPA 70E, electrical safety, LOTO, contractor requirements, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.Experience supporting high-risk work, conducting assessments or audits, developing training, and verifying corrective actions.Proficiency with EHS and learning management systems, data analysis, dashboards, and Microsoft Office applications.Strong communication, organization, analytical judgment, problem-solving, and influencing skills; ability to work independently and escalate significant risk appropriately.Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, CIH, or a role-aligned credential preferred.Additional InformationOnsite role based in an assigned home market or facility.Up to 25% U.S. travel, including overnight travel and temporary support to other regions.Occasional evening, weekend, or after-hours availability may be required.The role includes routine movement through data center environments and use of required PPE, with or without reasonable accommodation.CyrusOne is an equal opportunity employer.
