Staff Salesforce Developer

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Salesforce Product Manager to align the platform with business objectives and architect scalable solutions.
• Design and customize Salesforce Government Cloud Plus solutions using industry best practices.
• Configure CRM Analytics dashboards and create and manage data recipes.
• Collaborate with developers and integration teams to implement maintainable custom solutions and connect Salesforce with internal and external applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, and customizations.
• Automate business processes using Salesforce tools including Process Builder, Flow, formulas, assignment rules, validation rules, approval processes, and alerts.
• Build integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, and SSO.
• Migrate changes across development, testing, and production environments and perform smoke testing.
• Support end users and promote user self-sufficiency and adoption.
• Determine when Apex development is required while preferring low-code or no-code solutions when practical.
• Perform data updates and migrations using Data Loader.
• Interface with Salesforce data backup and recovery tools.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases, platform enhancements, industry trends, and release-readiness activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of total IT experience, including at least 6+ years of Salesforce platform development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience, preferably with Sales Cloud; Government Cloud experience is preferred.
• Experience with CRM Analytics, formerly Tableau CRM and Einstein Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, triggers, scheduled and batch classes, Process Builder, formulas, Flow, approval processes, validation rules, and assignment rules.
• Experience with Bootstrap, Lightning Design System, Lightning Components, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integration experience using REST, SOAP APIs, OAuth, and SSO.
• Experience creating standard and custom Salesforce objects and relationships.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and tools such as JIRA, plus experience with GitHub Actions and continuous integration and delivery/deployment practices.
• Ability to assess the impact of requirements on Salesforce and upstream and downstream applications, flows, and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is strongly preferred; Platform Developer II certification is a plus.
• Aerospace and defense industry experience is a major plus.
• NetSuite integration and solution architect experience are bonus qualifications.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
