Job Description Shift: Days Status: 40 hours per week Areas Covered: Downtown Detroit, near OFP/HF Main, the East/West sides of Detroit, some of the Grosse Pointe areas. General Summary Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, utilizes the knowledge and application of nursing principles to independently provide direct patient care in the home. Assesses need for other allied health care services such as home health aide services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech-language pathology, and social work, to ensure an integrated home health care delivery system. Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Requires graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program. Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse required. A minimum of nine months to one year of clinical nursing experience preferred. The ability to effectively communicate with patients, families and health care personnel is required. Knowledge of computer use is required to electronically document patient care. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Must possess a current driver's license, a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift, carry, transport, and move clients as needed. Certifications/Licensures Required Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. #J-18808-Ljbffr
