People and Culture Coordinator (Contractor)

Sony Electronics is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator who understands the importance of creating a seamless employee and candidate experience. This individual will support Talent Acquisition activities, with a strong emphasis on candidate scheduling, candidate experience, and general People & Culture administrative support. You will partner closely with People & Culture Business Partners, Talent Acquisition team members, hiring managers, candidates, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate interviews, manage requisition activities in Workday, support recruiting initiatives, and assist with HR programs and projects. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, maintaining accurate documentation and processes, supporting departmental events and activities, and delivering exceptional service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The expected assignment duration for this position is six (6) months with the possibility to extend depending on business needs. Talent Acquisition Support Manage Sony job requisitions in the applicant tracking system, to include opening, editing, and closing job postings internally or externally, as appropriate. Schedule and coordinate interviews, including phone screens, panel interviews and technical or stakeholder interviews. Communicate interview details to candidates and interviewers, including date, time, location, and any necessary preparation materials. Manage interview calendars, ensure availability of interviewers, and send interview invitations and reminders to candidate and interviewers. Track recruiting activities to ensure compliance with guidelines and recruiting policies. Perform sourcing support to build a competitive talent pipeline for hard to fill roles. Book candidate travel and process candidate expense report. Manage the Talent Acquisition email inbox and respond to applicant inquiries. Maintain, update, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, and how to documents in partnership with the team. Support arrangement of external career or recruitment events, obtain promotional items, print materials, set up booths, etc. Ability to recruit at a low volume to support recruiters when requisition volume is high. HR Administrative Support Support preparation for events (reserving rooms, printing materials, catering needs, room set-up/break down). Assist with records retention projects. Organize and inventory office supplies. Assist with mail intake, scanning and distribution, mailing packages or documents as needed. Coordinate with facilities and housekeeping for shred bin pick-ups, office cleaning. Other relevant People and Culture or Talent Acquisition duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 1+ years' experience working in an office or HR setting. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, note taking/dictation. Being extremely efficient, detail oriented, organized, and resourceful. Elevated level of integrity, confidentiality, and access control to sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications College/university coursework in Human Resources or equivalent experience. Experience working within a Human Resources department or Talent Acquisition team. Experience using Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or other ATS experience. 1+ year of Recruiting experience. The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $24.00 to $28.00.
