Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic medical center Float coverage required across multiple ICU environments, including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required Epic EMR required Requirements Active NY RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required AHA or RQI certifications required (copies must be provided) Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired US Social Security Number required Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious exemptions are not accepted No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Competency testing is required and must be completed within 24 hours of consideration; candidates will receive the test via email and have 2 attempts to pass Navy blue scrubs are required Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington Any requested time off (RTO) must be communicated upfront More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out Travel pairs are not accepted for this position First-time travelers are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID #P-711471.
