Job Description:


- Shift Schedule: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Position/Specialty: CTVICU
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Experience Level: 2 years required, first-timers accepted
- Weekend Requirements: As needed
- Certifications Required: ACLS & BLS
- Floating Requirements: Yes, may be floated to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED, and PACU

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in the CVICU
- Handle complex patient diagnoses including:
- CABG
- Aortic Aneurysm repair/dissection
- Pulmonary Embolism
- Cardiac Arrest
- Heart failure
- Sepsis
- Conduct special procedures and interventions:
- Post-Op Open Hearts
- CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella
- Central line management and others

Special Equipment Used:


- CRRT, Hemosphere, Ultrasound, Phillips monitors
- Impella, IABP, ECMO, ZOLL, Glidescope
- Additional tools for patient monitoring and care

Facility Highlights:


- Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children's Hospital
- Total Staffed Beds: 554
- Team-Dedicated: Interdisciplinary support from various teams including IV, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy

Qualifications:


- Must work on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, and NYD for holiday pay
- No locals within a 100-mile radius
- RTO Restrictions: Max 7 days, approval needed for more
