Job Summary As a Shift Manager of gusto!, you, your team, and fellow leaders will run a vibrant and busy healthy fast-food restaurant. You will help oversee various aspects (including customer service, inventory, food safety, catering, and team member development) of the operation based on your strengths and the business’ needs. The Shift Manager ensures that all aspects of shift operation including training, food preparation, food safety, cleanliness, sanitation, opening and closing duties, uniforms, and team member attendance meet or exceed company standards and specifications. As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the general oversight of daily operations and team leadership. This role includes staff management, shop security, team building, and ensuring a premium guest experience in a high-energy dining environment and Catering execution. Responsibilities Accountable for performing tasks related to all revenue streams including cashier, credit card terminals, and third party meal delivery partners (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) Third-party delivery system knowledge and operation Assist in managing and operations of the entire business, including Service, Production, Catering, and other related areas Ensure store is open or closed according to company standards and procedures Delegate tasks to Team Members to ensure a clean and inviting workplace including stocking supplies, maintaining clean restrooms, dining room furnishings, floors, windows, doors, and plants Oversee food preparation activities, ensuring that all menu items are prepared according to recipes Oversee daily prep list creation Accountable for the performance of all staff when the active manager is not on duty Direct team members through daily routines and interact with guests to ensure a premium guest experience Create a positive work environment Be a good steward of all company property Uphold all brand standards Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating and inspiring staff to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the shop Act as a Brand Ambassador for the company at all times. Maintain ServSafe Certification Adhere to uniform and personal hygiene standards including wearing non-slip shoes and cutting gloves Train company policies and procedures to new Team Members Help develop and train fellow teammates Oversee the training and development of team members, ensuring they follow processes and policies Monitor and supervise timely arrival or departure of scheduled Team Members Support the manager in the daily operation of the shop Ensure all catering requirements submitted by the Sales team are communicated and executed Ensure timely delivery of all catering orders Maintain friendly and professional interactions with catering guests Oversee the shop’s catering schedule, including deliveries Manage catering inventory and order supplies as needed Maintain catering equipment and keeping the catering van clean and stocked Enforce all food and physical safety policies and requirements Participate in monthly P&L reviews with Shop leadership, identifying areas for improvement and new opportunities Assist in managing Labor Expense and COGS Ensure ALL operational safety, food safety, and food quality requirements/ standards are met every hour of every day Responsible for ordering Fresh point Responsible for ordering Sysco Reporting accurate Inventory weekly Be available for all shifts including opening/closing and weekends as needed Be comfortable standing for the entire shift and occasionally lifting items no heavier than 53 lbs Other assigned shop duties Qualifications & Experience Experience in a customer-centric role, with a focus on providing exceptional service 1+ years experience in a Shift Leader/Supervisor or Manager role, preferably in the food service industry or a food-related industry Excellent people skills Consistent reliability and punctuality Ability to handle challenges resourcefully and efficiently Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends Strong communication skills, capable of coordinating between various teams A desire for continuous learning and professional development Ability to multitask Able to work well in a team environment Must be at least 18 years old Must have a reliable means of transportation Benefits Pay rate: $15-17 + Tips Tip sharing Access to wages before payday Flexible scheduling Detailed and intentional training Team Member food perks Fantastic Teammates! #J-18808-Ljbffr Socket.dev
