Senior Accountant

Mid-Sized Law Firm | Downtown Los Angeles We are partnering with a modern, mid-sized law firm in Downtown Los Angeles to recruit a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role supports core accounting functions and month-end close activities while partnering closely with the firm’s Director of Finance on reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Work Arrangement & Compensation Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, Downtown Los Angeles Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 (non-exempt) Law firm experience required Experience with Elite 3E strongly preferred Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing reconciliations, reports, and analyses in accordance with firm standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and works collaboratively with other accounting team members on both recurring and project-based initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review month-end journal entries with appropriate documentation and support Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank and trust accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness Perform general ledger account analysis and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Produce recurring and ad hoc financial reports using accounting systems and reporting tools Analyze financial data and metrics to validate accuracy and support business decision-making Support month-end and year-end close activities, including schedules and reconciliations Maintain fixed asset and lease schedules Prepare executive-level summary schedules and management reports as requested Assist with audit, tax, and annual review preparation by furnishing required documentation to external accountants Support property-related filings and other regulatory reporting as needed Respond promptly to internal inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality Collaborate with accounting colleagues, including other senior accountants, on cross-functional projects Contribute to process improvement efforts and documentation of accounting procedures Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required Prior law firm accounting experience required Experience with Elite 3E is a strong plus Solid understanding of general accounting principles, compliance standards, and internal controls Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills and comfort partnering cross-functionally Discretion and judgment in handling sensitive financial information Medical, dental, and vision insurance HSA/FSA options Why Join Hybrid schedule in a central Downtown Los Angeles location Exposure to firm leadership and complex accounting projects Stable organization with a forward-looking finance function Opportunity to contribute to process refinement and operational improvements #J-18808-Ljbffr Matura Farrington
