This individual will be responsible for ensuring that food safety, product quality, and regulatory standards are maintained throughout receiving, storage, production support, and shipping activities. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $22/hour Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision 3rd shift Located in Chicago, Illinois Duties and Responsibilities Conduct quality inspections of bakery products, ingredients, and packaging materials. Monitor warehouse and production support areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, sanitation, and company policies. Perform routine quality checks and document inspection results accurately. Verify product labeling, lot codes, dates, and packaging integrity. Assist with environmental monitoring, temperature verification, and sanitation inspections. Identify and report food safety or quality concerns and assist with corrective actions. Maintain accurate QA documentation and records. Support compliance with SQF, HACCP, and other food safety programs. Work closely with warehouse and production teams to maintain a safe and high-quality operation. Requirements and Qualifications Previous experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred. Experience in a bakery or food distribution facility is a plus. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations. Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills.
