Openings include supporting a high school life skills classroom and providing dedicated, one-on-one assistance to a middle school student with autism—ideally suited for professionals experienced in behavioral support strategies. Your ability to guide and encourage is valued, as is your resilience and adaptability in varied classroom situations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of one year working as a paraprofessional in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with life skills or behavioral needs preferred.
• High school diploma required; candidates without a paraprofessional certificate, 48+ college credits, or an associate’s degree (or higher) must be willing to obtain paraprofessional certification within 60 days of hire.
• Compassion, patience, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and supportive during challenging student behaviors, including physical outbursts or frustrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in providing academic and behavioral support.
• Deliver personalized, one-on-one support for a middle school student with autism, managing behavioral challenges and de-escalating issues.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and families to facilitate student progress.
• Contribute to classroom routines, activities, and individualized education plans.
