Job Description
The Automotive Smog Technician is responsible for performing vehicle inspections and emissions testing within a team-based environment. This role requires precise diagnostics and thorough documentation while maintaining excellent customer interactions. The technician will report directly to the shop manager and contribute to ensuring vehicles meet environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess emissions compliance
- Perform accurate emissions testing following regulatory guidelines
- Interact professionally with customers to explain testing processes and results
- Document inspection and testing reports clearly and thoroughly
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in automotive repair
- California BAR Smog Check Technician license
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and emissions testing
- Strong customer service skills
- High attention to detail
- Solid mechanical aptitude
