Shift: 06:30 - 16:00
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
Call Requirements: Self-scheduling (1 weekday every week and 1 weekend within 4 weeks)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will work closely with surgical teams and support staff to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and assist in the preparation of patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses during surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records throughout the surgical process.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license valid in the state of Iowa.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility, with C-Section experience preferred.
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries (Da Vinci X Robot) is a plus.
