POSITION OVERVIEW:

We seeking an experienced Capital Markets professional to lead the origination and expansion of issuer relationships across a platform, including corporate retail notes, certificates of deposit, credit union share certificates, structured products, and other debt financing solutions distributed through the company's extensive advisor and institutional network.

This is a senior revenue-generating role for an established DCM (debt capital markets) banker with a network of corporate treasurers, CFOs and finance executives at companies actively seeking or well-suited for retail note financing programs. Candidates must have strong product expertise and the ability to translate issuer financing needs into marketable investment solutions.


The ideal candidate is a relationship-first dealmaker who can independently source, structure, and close transactions - and who understands the full underwriting process of a retail debt offering from initial issuer conversation through distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Originate new business opportunities by leveraging an existing network of corporate treasurers, CFOs, finance executives, bank and credit union funding officers, and other capital markets decision-makers
• Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate issuers across target sectors whose capital needs align with debt products distributed to financial advisors and retail investors
• Onboard new issuers across a broad range of investment solutions, including corporate retail notes, CDs, share certificates, structured products, and private placements
• Source new bank and credit union programs by establishing relationships with financial institutions seeking diversified funding solutions
• Take primary ownership of issuer relationships, including responsibility for idea generation, mandate development, transaction execution, and relationship expansion
• Collaborate with internal structuring, syndicate, trading, legal, compliance, and distribution teams to design, launch, and successfully distribute new issue offerings.
• Partner with issuers to evaluate financing objectives and develop customized capital raising solutions utilizing the full breadth of the company's distribution platform
• Expand the firm's issuer roster by identifying underserved sectors, emerging funding opportunities, and strategic product expansion initiatives.
• Maintain ongoing client coverage, identifying repeat issuance opportunities, funding program enhancements, and long-term strategic partnerships
• Monitor market conditions, rates environment, and investor demand to optimize transaction timing, structure, and distribution strategy
• Contribute to the development of new product initiatives, funding programs, and strategic growth opportunities across the capital markets platform

PREFERRED PROFILE:

• 10+ years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate banking, or treasury-related roles
• Proven track record of originating and executing corporate debt transactions
• Established, strong active relationships with corporate treasurers, CFOs, and finance leaders
• Strong understanding of fixed income products, including retail notes or corporate debt issuance
• Experience working across origination, structuring, and distribution
• Deep knowledge of capital markets, interest rate environment, and funding strategies
• Demonstrated ability to generate revenue and operate in a client-facing, senior capacity
• Bachelor's degree required

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience at an investment bank, dealer, or platform focused on taxable fixed income markets
• Background in corporate treasury or corporate banking with direct issuer relationships
• Familiarity with retail distribution channels (RIA, broker-dealer networks, banks)
• Experience with SEC-registered shelf offerings in a retail distribution context
• FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63, 79) preferred
