Buyer Planner

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for driving effective inventory management and purchasing operations to support a growing distribution environment. This role partners with leadership to implement and sustain best-in-class processes that optimize working capital and ensure product availability. Responsibilities Monitor and adjust inventory levels to align with demand and business objectives Collaborate with warehouse and accounting teams to ensure accurate inventory control Develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders Work cross-functionally with sourcing and category teams to address supplier issues and support new product initiatives Oversee the full lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation through delivery and follow-up Coordinate material flow across locations to support operational efficiency Track overdue orders, communicate updates, and proactively resolve delays Support continuous improvement initiatives and other assigned responsibilities Qualifications Strong Excel skills and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office Solid understanding of supply chain, distribution, and logistics operations Experience managing vendor relationships and expediting critical orders Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams 3+ years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing, or supply chain analytics Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related field preferred Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 Benefits Health, dental, and vision, life, short/long term disability insurance 401(k) offering Paid time off and holidays (80 hours PTO) Paid sick leave where applicable by state law.
