# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas Start Date: September 10, 2026
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Shift-based (Day and Night shifts available). Acuity-based patient ratios. Shift begins 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time for huddle and handoff. Highlights: - High-volume emergency department with 48 headwalls and approximately 25 additional treatment spaces- Collaborative team of approximately 80 staff members including Charge Nurses, Flow Navigators, RNs, Paramedics, ED Techs, and Unit Clerks- Exposure to diverse procedures including moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, PIV/IO, splinting, cardiac monitoring, trauma and stroke assessments, and resuscitation- EMR system: Meditech- Equipment includes GE, Stryker, and Plum 360 emergency, trauma, and critical care devices- All-hands-on-deck team culture with collaborative support across all roles Requirements: - Current Texas RN license or compact state license- Required certifications: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, CPI- Strong clinical and rapid patient assessment skills with critical thinking abilities- Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and work effectively in a fast-paced environment- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a high-volume emergency department- Preferred: Trauma experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center Why It's a Great Opportunity: This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department where teamwork and collaboration are at the core of patient care.
