You’ll gain invaluable insight into the daily operations of a successful veterinary hospital, all while sharpening your clinical and communication skills. What You’ll Experience One‑on‑one mentorship from seasoned Associate Veterinarians Hands‑on experience performing physical exams and gathering patient histories Diagnostic workups, treatment plan creation, and case discussions Exposure to dentistry services and the opportunity to assist in surgical procedures Client communication training and team collaboration opportunities Program Highlights Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks (flexible based on student and hospital schedules) Eligibility: veterinary students Stipend: $1,000 for students in their clinical years to assist with travel/living expenses Join us at Shady Brook Animal Hospital and experience a supportive, engaging externship that prepares you for success as a future veterinarian.
