Data Center Controls Engineer - Jeffersonville

Salary: $111,300 - 186,100 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of relevant controls experience; alternatively, at least 10 years of relevant controls experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 4 years of general project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution, including requests for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking.
• Preferred: Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC controls or electrical SCADA applications, including controllers, software, and networks.
• Preferred: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS.
• Preferred: Understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Preferred: Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and requirements and navigate challenging situations.

• Train and support internal customers and stakeholders in designing, configuring, validating, installing, commissioning, and operating BMS and EPMS systems.
• Provide technical support to data center operations throughout the facilities life cycles, review quarterly maintenance findings, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and level of effort for BMS and EPMS work requested by customers and stakeholders.
• Manage the scope, schedule, finances, and delivery of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in our data centers.
• Support procurement activities, including requests for quotations or proposals, responses to requests for information, vendor proposal reviews, and purchase order issuance.
• Participate in our global on-call rotation to provide timely technical support to operating data centers.
• Attend project meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and report progress to Controls and stakeholder management teams.
• Support commissioning activities for Controls projects in our data centers.
• Review, implement, troubleshoot, and refine controls sequences of operation, providing feedback to the design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
• Manage deliverables and requirements across multiple stakeholders and address challenging situations.
• Manage BMS and EPMS service contract finances.
• Visit assigned operating data centers locally to troubleshoot, meet with customers, and oversee vendor work for compliance with scope, design, sequences of operation, and applicable local codes.
