Physical Therapist Assistant
Schedule: Days, 8 hours, M-F; times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with DOR.
Assignment Details: Contract length: 13 weeks; guaranteed hours: not specified.
Requirements:
- 1 year of PTA experience
- LTC or rehab experience
- PTA license
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices.
- Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments as necessary.
- Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to policy.
- Participate in required meetings and trainings related to patient care and rehabilitation practices.
- Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
Compliance / Notes: Active state licensure is required when applicable. Adherence to relevant practice acts and codes of conduct is necessary during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
