Body Shop ManagerM&K Truck Centers is a multi-state leader in commercial truck sales, leasing, parts and service. The Body Shop Manager is responsible for the profitability of one of the area's premier full service Truck Body Shops and will manage M&K Truck Centers' relationship with the customers by promoting, providing estimates, and following-up on work performed in the body shop. This manager is also expected to keep the shop compliant with regulatory requirements from local, state, and federal agencies such as OSHA, EPA, and the Department of Labor.Job ResponsibilitiesManage body shop suppliesUse estimating software to assist in the creation of itemized estimates for customers and insurance companiesCommunicate with appraisers for supplemental repair amountsManage deadlines and budgets of repairs to meet estimated amountsManage tech efficiencies and productivityEstablish and monitor the quality of workWork within manufacturer warranty guidelines for proper submission of warranty claims pertaining to repairs performed in the body shopManage, lead and supervise body shop techniciansManage collection of payments for repairsSkillsKnowledge of vehicle paint processes – preparing, mixing, tinting, application, and troubleshootingEstimate repair times of fiberglass, sheet metal, chassis frames, and structural damage to cabs and sleepersExperience obtaining LKQ partsAttention to detailAbility to direct othersCustomer focusAbility to handle conflict and implement conflict resolutionEducation and ExperienceAssociates degree/ Bachelor's degree preferred but not required5 years' experience in Heavy Truck Repair/Management2 years of supervisory experience of 3 people or moreFamiliarity with a dealer business system (CDK is preferred)Valid driver's licenseWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package and ESOP program.Opportunities for professional development and growth.A supportive and dynamic work environment.
