Construction Engineer - Transportation - Madison

What You'll Do: Lead & Contribute : Work alongside experienced engineers on challenging transportation construction projects and assist with design efforts as needed. Observe & Evaluate : Conduct on-site construction observation, materials testing, and project documentation to ensure quality and compliance. Collaborate & Communicate : Serve as the on-site representative, engaging with contractors and project teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum. Design & Support : Assist with CAD-based design work during winter months and contribute to the development of plans and specifications. Grow & Develop : Be part of a team that values mentorship, learning, and professional development. What We're Looking For: Education : Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. Experience : Prior experience in transportation infrastructure construction and design. WisDOT experience is a plus. Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
