Bloomingdale's, like no other store in the world, is seeking an experienced bus-person. All hourly associates are eligible to receive a quarterly bonus incentive, colleague discounts and the opportunity to be a part of an iconic brand. Certain criteria must be met to receive the quarterly bonus incentive.

Essential Functions

• Follows food division best practices as set out in training manual
• Clear and set tables according to company standards
• Sort china, glassware and flatware in the dish room
• Organize recycling where applicable
• Perform daily cleaning tasks assigned by supervisor
• Ensure dining room is properly set for customer service
• Communicate customer requests or concerns and service flow issues with servers and manager on duty
• Follow station specific duties and responsibilities
• Comply with dress code and food division and health department standards
• Assist servers and customers; run food to customers where appropriate
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Competencies

• No education or experience required
• Prior restaurant industry experience preferred
• General knowledge of cleaning procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedures
• A team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
• Ability to follow safe work practices in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, extended hours and key event days

Essential Physical Requirements

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department.
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
