School Nurse Contract Role

The assignment runs from September 4th through June 25th, with weekday hours from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, making for a consistent, family-friendly schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid School Nursing NJ licensure is required
• Previous experience in a school-based RN nursing role
• Confident overseeing multiple school buildings and managing diverse caseloads
• Able to provide comprehensive nursing services to students in need
• Must be familiar and comfortable working within school district settings
• Reliable transportation and proximity to the area to ensure punctuality
• Willingness to complete onboarding: TB test, physical exam, and fingerprinting for agency and district purposes
• Please note: candidates must be RNs; LPNs are not eligible for this role

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide broad healthcare support to students in elementary and middle schools
• Monitor and manage daily health concerns and emergencies
• Administer medications, first aid, and chronic care management
• Collaborate with school staff and parents regarding student health needs
• Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with school protocols
• Oversee the health and safety practices across assigned campuses

Compensation for this position ranges from $32.70 to $52.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
