PRN - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary: The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) will be responsible for obtaining vital signs and performing portions of physical examinations, administering medications via various routes, and documenting medical examinations and treatments. The role also includes preparing patients for diagnostics, assisting providers with procedures, and maintaining patient records. This role is PRN.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in nursing (Minimum) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• License: Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Experience: Have at least 24 months of experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 36 months in a primary care / clinical setting.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect vital signs and completed age-appropriate physical measurements and diagnostic tests, including ECGs, pulse oximetry, visual acuity, and fetal doppler tones.
• Administer prescribed medications through oral, topical, inhalation, and intramuscular routes while monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures, ensuring proper patient preparation and positioning.
• Document examinations, treatments, procedures, and patient responses accurately in electronic and hard-copy medical records.
• Recognize patient care issues, reported observations promptly to the healthcare team, and respond to emergencies with basic life support measures.
• Managed patient scheduling, intake, registration verification, and appointment coordination using MHS GENESIS, Essentris, ASIMS, and MiCare.

Work Environment & Schedule: PRN Onsite, Monday- Friday from 7:30- 4:30 with a 30-minute lunch break.

Compensation & Benefits: $ 25.00 per hour

Physical requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation while providing direct patient care. Ability to safely assist with patient transfers, perform repetitive clinical tasks, and respond quickly in emergency situations is required.
