Operating Room Registered Nurse

*Upper Mississippi Surgery Center* (UMSC) is a newly established, modern ambulatory surgery center dedicated to delivering exceptional outpatient surgical care. Our team is growing and we are looking for compassionate, skilled professionals who value teamwork, efficiency and high-quality patient care.

We are seeking a Registerd Nurse to join our OR team. The ideal candidate will have prior Operating Room experience and a strong desire to contribute to the development of a high-performing clinical environment.

*Perioperative Registered Nurse*:

*Key Duties include:*

* This nurse may provide care for the surgical patient pre-operatively, intra-op, and post-operatively.
* You will work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia and other members of the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of the surgical patient.
* Provide teaching and support to patients and their families to provide the best surgical experience.
* Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and efficient workflow.
* Document all patient care services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in peri-operative nursing.
* Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and the general public.

*Qualifications:*

RN Licensure

ACLS /PALS certification or may be provided upon hire

Excellent communication skills that promote interpersonal relations, customer service, and teamwork.

Perioperative nursing experience or knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
