Estimator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. The Estimator plays a critical role in the pursuit and planning of commercial construction projects by preparing accurate conceptual and detailed cost estimates, coordinating subcontractor bidding, evaluating project risks, and supporting the successful transition from preconstruction to operations. The ideal candidate has experience estimating commercial construction projects, with exposure to healthcare (HCAI), life science, higher education, public works, and tenant improvement projects. This individual is highly organized, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple pursuits while delivering exceptional service to clients and project teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction cost estimates. Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other contract documents to accurately define project scope. Develop comprehensive bid packages that clearly communicate project requirements to trade partners. Manage multiple project pursuits simultaneously while meeting critical proposal deadlines. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal project teams throughout the preconstruction process. Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing while ensuring competitive market coverage. Analyze, qualify, and level subcontractor proposals to identify the best overall value based on scope, qualifications, pricing, and schedule. Participate in constructability reviews, identifying design conflicts, scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and potential project risks. Assist in developing preliminary construction schedules and sequencing strategies during preconstruction. Support project turnover by facilitating a thorough handoff to the Operations team following project award. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager with estimating responsibilities. Experience estimating commercial construction projects is required. Experience with healthcare (HCAI), life science, higher education, public works, laboratories, institutional facilities, or complex tenant improvement projects is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
